Sam Hamidi-Kazemian is an accomplished American software engineer and entrepreneur. As the Co-Founder and President of Brainfund, he has demonstrated exceptional leadership in the tech industry. Sam pursued higher education at the University of California, Los Angeles, graduating with a double major in neuroscience and philosophy.
During his time at UCLA in 2014, Sam co-founded the online encyclopedia IQ.wiki (previously known as Everipedia), expanding his entrepreneurial endeavors. However, he is best known for founding Frax Finance in 2019. This decentralized finance platform focuses on providing lending services and building stablecoin infrastructure.
Sam’s dedication to Frax Finance led to impressive growth, with the platform’s market value exceeding $1 billion and generating $83 million in revenue in 2021. In recognition of his achievements, Forbes included Sam in their 2023 “30 Under 30” list in the finance category. He is also one of the first proclaimed Stablecoin Maximalists.
